FHC is Hiring Preventative Team Leader



To provide preventive services to families referred by Erie County DSS. Responsible to conduct family assessment and work with family members to develop an individualized service plan; provide concrete and clinical services including intensive crisis intervention, ongoing individual and family counseling and parenting education services, linkage and advocacy. Works closely with ECDSS. Team Leader carries an average of eight to ten cases at a given time. Flexible schedule to work around the needs of individual families. Evening and weekend hours may be required. Assists with provision of continuity of services, providing emergency team back-up as needed. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in human service field with a minimum of one year direct service experience in working with high-risk families, or an unusual combination of experience and education.  Must possess strong leadership and organizational skills.  Reports to Unit Supervisor.

Salary: $28,140

The following position is currently open in our Youth Leadership Development (YEL) unit:


The Youth Empowerment Leadership (YEL) team holds ongoing youth meetings. We are looking for a responsible, mature adult (21 years or older) to assist with developing, planning and facilitating youth activities and supervision of youth in areas of programming activities. The YEL Group Facilitator is also responsible for transporting youth to and from group or special events. Successful applicant must understand and be able to respond to a variety of needs of a culturally diverse population of youth ages 13 to 22, as well as build rapport with the youth. Successful candidate will exhibit knowledge necessary to work effectively with youth with behavioral, emotional, or mental health challenges. As part of a team that includes the Youth Coordinator, Assistant Youth Coordinator and Group Assistants, the Group Facilitator is responsible for the safety of the group and is expected to actively participate with youth during all trainings and exercises. Requirements include 1 year experience working with youth, car and clean driver’s license, positive attitude towards job, clients, coworkers and Agency – team player.

This is a 20 hour per week position, and pays $13.25 per hour. Hours will include some evening hours. The Group Facilitator reports directly to the Youth Coordinator. Submit letter of interest and Internal Business Reference by the close of business on 8/3/15 to:

FHCThe Daycare Director is responsible to plan, organize, implement, coordinate, and control services of the daycare program, exercising independent judgment and decision-making authority as delegated, including budget, policies, procedures, and staff supervision. Under general supervision, the Director operates the daycare program in conformance with New York State OCFS Daycare Regulations and licensing provisions.  Responsibilities include the overall management of the Center’s program and its operation, facilitating, planning and coordinating of the children’s educational programs and activities. The Director works with staff to facilitate their teaching of early childhood care, and with community daycare centers, and various local funding sources. The Director is also responsible for oversight of the Children’s Center for Success programming and partnerships.

Must have sound working knowledge of NYS OCFS Daycare Regulations and developmentally appropriate practices. Leadership, team building and mature judgment and the ability to maintain matters of a confidential nature essential.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent;
  • Minimum of one year full-time daycare teaching experience and one year experience of direct supervision of staff.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and administrative experience mandatory.
  • Medication Administration Training (MAT) will be necessary for the successful applicant.
  • Car and clean driver’s license required.
