A Blood Test to Detect Depression. Helpful?

New research is suggesting that through a blood test targeting certain RNA markers, clinical depression may very well be able to be identified within this particular variable of genetic code. Clinicians, what are your thoughts? Does this support the concept of a true medical model for mental health, or does it simply negate the current diagnostic process all together?
