Family Help Center Hiring DayCare Director

FHCThe Daycare Director is responsible to plan, organize, implement, coordinate, and control services of the daycare program, exercising independent judgment and decision-making authority as delegated, including budget, policies, procedures, and staff supervision. Under general supervision, the Director operates the daycare program in conformance with New York State OCFS Daycare Regulations and licensing provisions.  Responsibilities include the overall management of the Center’s program and its operation, facilitating, planning and coordinating of the children’s educational programs and activities. The Director works with staff to facilitate their teaching of early childhood care, and with community daycare centers, and various local funding sources. The Director is also responsible for oversight of the Children’s Center for Success programming and partnerships.

Must have sound working knowledge of NYS OCFS Daycare Regulations and developmentally appropriate practices. Leadership, team building and mature judgment and the ability to maintain matters of a confidential nature essential.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent;
  • Minimum of one year full-time daycare teaching experience and one year experience of direct supervision of staff.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and administrative experience mandatory.
  • Medication Administration Training (MAT) will be necessary for the successful applicant.
  • Car and clean driver’s license required.

CCNY is looking for an Evaluator to join the team. This position is full time and has a great time off and benefits package.

The Evaluator is responsible for evaluating and researching various (physical and behavioral health, social and human services, education, arts) programs, including developing evaluation designs and instrumentation; collecting, coding, analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data; conducting interviews, focus groups and systematic observations; and reporting evaluation findings.

• Develop appropriate evaluation solutions that match organization/project need
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using advanced statistics to include (but not limited to regression analysis, multi-level modeling, pattern analysis and predictive modeling)
• Perform cost and ROI data analysis
• Perform supplemental analysis such as evaluability analysis
• Conduct focus groups and interviews
• Create accurate and meaningful reports of evaluation results for both internal and external stakeholders
• Develop working relationships and partnerships with community partners and stakeholders
• Supervise student evaluation projects as identified
• Conduct and write Literature Reviews on particular topics
• Manage and monitor implementation of data collection for programs
• Monthly Travel required

Skills/Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience with research and evaluation
• Graduate Degree in Social Work, Public Health or related field
• Must be proficient in Excel and Access as well as statistical software such as SPSS/PASW, SAS or Minitab
• Knowledge of relational databases
• Advanced data visualization skills
• Experience in presenting evaluation findings to internal and external staff, customers and stakeholders
• Documented ability with advanced data analysis and report preparation (will be asked to produce examples)

CCNY is hiring a technology systems developer

CCNY, located in Buffalo, NY, is looking to hire a part time(20 hrs/week) Technology Systems Developer. CCNY helps people measure what they do, and improve it, which often leads to developing databases to support their measurement needs. In addition, we have several solutions that require data integration, and algorithm design in order to support managers in their improvement plans. We need a developer who will learn how to codify our solutions, maintain their effectiveness, and either work with support or support them directly to keep them running at their optimum levels. Job Duties include the following:

  • Develop with CCNY team efficient, functional databases for nonprofit audiences
  • Deliver databases either in a web-based format or as an offline application using Microsoft Access or similar system
  • Maintain web-based content to ensure security and integrity
  • Develop scripts and reports to address business issues
  • Write queries to identify recurring issues as needed
  • Develop reports to meet business requirements
  • Provide production support as needed and work to solve new and existing technical issues
  • Develop with CCNY team efficient, functional databases for nonprofit audiences
  • Maintain web-based content to ensure security and integrity
  • Work closely with the Directors of IT, and Research and Evaluation to codify solutions found in our work, become experts with those solutions, and maintain them for staff

The following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in relevant field
  • Two years relevant experience (Will consider recent college graduates)
  • Intermediate knowledge of MySQL or SQL, XML, views procedures, triggers, relationships
  • Develop and maintenance of databases to ensure data integrity and security
  • Willing to learn SOQL and Salesforce to develop reporting, data exports, and data integration

We’re looking for an IT support person interested in part-time work (30 hours/week) with the option to grow into full-time based on company growth, and staff ability. If you know how to fix computers and can figure out our network, we’re interested in you. In addition to our computers and network, we have several applications where you would provide support.

You’d answer questions like:
I forgot my password?
How do I login again?
I never got my password?
What’s my username?
Where are the reports?
I need someone to add a user?

If the questions get more complicated than that, you’ll have a development team to back you up and escalate these issues. Your role then would be to follow up with the development team to make sure their moving the issue forward.

We’re interested in people willing to learn, grow, and develop as a professional, which means you’ll learn by doing. Never heard of Spiceworks, Salesforce, etc? Fine, Google it. Meet with the IT director for weekly improvement and planning meetings. Become a master. You’ll learn.

Must have a two year Technical degree and two years relevant experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Job Description: Interpreting Services Department Assistant

Status: Part-Time (15 hrs week, 1-4pm M-F)

Responsible to: Manager of Interpreting Services

Primary Function: To provide Interpreting Services department with staff support in the areas of phone

coverage and customer relations

Specific Duties:

  • Answer department phones and record accurate customer information
  • Relay customer information to Scheduling Coordinator in a timely manner
  • Follow up on customer requests for additional information or changes
  • Contacts customers as requested by Scheduling Coordinator regarding confirmations
  • Conducts quality assurance calls to customers regarding interpreter arrivals/services
  • Assists with additional related functions as requested by agency personnel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of telephone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Basic computer competency in MS Office, Word, and E-mail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Deaf Culture or a desire to learn
  • Knowledge of Sign Language or a desire to learn
