Psychiatrist for Children, Adolescents and Young Adults

We are currently seeking a Psychiatrist to work in our Community Behavioral Health Program.

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments, including psychiatric history, mental status exam and DSM-V diagnosis.  Additional responsibilities include the prescription and monitoring of medication including conducting regular assessment of therapeutic responses and side effects.

The Psychiatrist will review and sign all assessments per the NYS Office of Mental Health regulations and be experienced in the use of Electronic Health Records (EHR) for ongoing documentation.

The Psychiatrist will provide a minimum of 6 hours each week.  Work is available in multiple counties.

Must be currently licensed to practice medicine in New York State, who is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or is eligible to be certified by that Board or is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry or is eligible to be certified by that Board.

The Sr Clinical Specialist will work collaboratively with the Erie County Child Welfare System and providers of Mental Health and Substance Abuse services with the ultimate goal of keeping children safe and families intact, by supporting the behavioral health needs of parents and caregivers. The successful candidate will work to effectively provide screening, consultations, linkage, and follow-up for high risk populations. These services will be provided in the community. We are seeking an assertive individual with experience working with similar clients in both the Mental Health and Chemical Dependency fields.

Qualifications:

  • LCSW or LMSW required; CASAC preferred.
  •  5+ years senior level counseling experience.
  • Experience providing individual and family counseling.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office and Behavioral Health software experience required.

Evaluator Opening at CCNY

CCNY is looking for an Evaluator to join its team. This position is full time and offers a great PTO and benefits package.

The Evaluator is responsible for evaluating and researching various programs (Subject areas: Physical and Behavioral Health, Social and Human Services, Education, Arts). The Evaluator will be responsible for developing evaluation designs, methods and instrumentation; collecting, coding, analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data; conducting interviews, focus groups, and systematic observations; and reporting evaluation findings to a variety of constituents.

Duties

  • Develop appropriate evaluation strategies, plans and solutions for health and human service programs
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using advanced statistics  (i.e. regression analysis, multilevel modeling, pattern analysis)
  • Perform cost and ROI data analysis
  • Conduct focus groups and interviews
  • Create meaningful reports using appropriate and creative data visualization techniques
  • Develop working relationships and partnerships with community partners and stakeholders
  • Supervise student evaluation projects as identified
  • Conduct and write Literature Reviews
  • Manage and monitor implementation of data collection for programs
  • Monthly Travel required

Minimum Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of paid experience conducting program evaluations
  • Graduate Degree in Social Work, Public Health or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word
  • Presentation Skills
  • Data visualization
  • Advanced data analysis, report preparation and utility of findings/results (will be asked to produce examples)

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience conducting research in the behavioral sciences
  • Knowledge of relational databases, such as Access and SQL
  • Use of statistical software such as SPSS/PASW, SAS, Minitab or STATA, or other related statistical processing tools

PREVENTIVE TEAM LEADER

To provide preventive services to families referred by Erie County DSS. Responsible to conduct family assessment and work with family members to develop an individualized service plan; provide concrete and clinical services including intensive crisis intervention, ongoing individual and family counseling and parenting education services, linkage and advocacy. Works closely with ECDSS. Team Leader carries an average of eight to ten cases at a given time. Flexible schedule to work around the needs of individual families. Evening and weekend hours may be required. Assists with provision of continuity of services, providing emergency team back-up as needed. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in human service field with a minimum of one year direct service experience in working with high-risk families, or an unusual combination of experience and education.  Must possess strong leadership and organizational skills.  Reports to Unit Supervisor.

THE ABOVE POSITION REQUIRES:

The following position is currently open in our Youth Leadership Development (YEL) unit:

PART-TIME YEL GROUP FACILITATOR

The Youth Empowerment Leadership (YEL) team holds ongoing youth meetings. We are looking for a responsible, mature adult (21 years or older) to assist with developing, planning and facilitating youth activities and supervision of youth in areas of programming activities. The YEL Group Facilitator is also responsible for transporting youth to and from group or special events. Successful applicant must understand and be able to respond to a variety of needs of a culturally diverse population of youth ages 13 to 22, as well as build rapport with the youth. Successful candidate will exhibit knowledge necessary to work effectively with youth with behavioral, emotional, or mental health challenges. As part of a team that includes the Youth Coordinator, Assistant Youth Coordinator and Group Assistants, the Group Facilitator is responsible for the safety of the group and is expected to actively participate with youth during all trainings and exercises. Requirements include 1 year experience working with youth, car and clean driver’s license, positive attitude towards job, clients, coworkers and Agency – team player.

Part Time Trainer Needed at CCNY

We are hiring for a part time (40 hours/month) Trainer to assist with monthly training for providers in the Children’s System of Care during business hours Monday-Friday.

Duties include:

  • Deliver monthly training both independently and/or with co-trainer support (average of 32 hours per month)
  • Up to (but no more than) 8 hours of meetings per month to include but not limited to supervision, curriculum development, administrative support work, project work groups
    Documentation and maintenance of training records

The following certifications are not mandatory, but will be required when offered again by NYS:
HCBS Waiver Skill Builder Trainer Certification, in good standing with NYS OMH Training Bureau.
HCBS Waiver Respite Trainer Certification, in good standing with NYS OMH Training Bureau.

Other requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited University in Social Work, Education, Human Services, Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years’ verifiable experience working in child welfare, children’s mental health, special education or similar
  • Documented experience delivering training and-or workshops
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories
  • Ability to deliver effective training sessions to diverse learning groups which include participants with Clinical Master’s Degree, Bachelor Degree and High School Degree or equivalent as highest level of education

Position Summary: The Accountant is responsible for the implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounts payable and accounts receivable in accordance with generally acceptable accounting practices. Responsible for the preparation of various financial statements and reports requird by government, regulatory agencies, funding sorces and governing bodies. Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. Reviews financial statements with management personnel. Responsible for maintaining professional and positive relationship with funding sources, banking institutions, vendors, etc.

Major Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Responsible for maintaining chart of accounts, general ledger, journals and accounts payable and receivables.
  • Responsible for monthly reconciliation of bank statements, cash flow statements and fixed assets, month end closings.
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial statements as required by the Board of Directors and funding sources.
  •  Responsible for all disbursements, assuring all expenditures are approved by authorized persons.
  • Meets on a regular basis with management team members to discuss common programmatic issues/problems.
  • Meets on a regular basis with the Director of Administration for ongoing support and/or supervision.
