The Executive Committee of the United Way Agency Executives Association is hosting the program entitled “Leveraging Outcome Based Measures in Grant Writing.”

This program includes an interactive workshop, networking opportunities and a breakfast. During the workshop attendees will develop a plan for how to gather, quantify, and report on the criteria each unique organization uses to measure success. The workshop will also guide attendees in how this data can be used during the grant writing process.
This event includes presentations from Matthew McDonald, the Director of the Nonprofit Technology Solutions Division, Lindsay Evans, Marketing Communications Coordinator, both at Brisbane Consulting Group and Jim Serafin, the President of Resource Development and Management.
Matthew McDonald has extensive experience providing accounting software and technology solutions to nonprofit, government and manufacturing agencies. He has implemented a comprehensive value based business model at Brisbane where client goals and satisfaction are the measurement for success.
Lindsay Evans has been working as a implementation specialist responsible for implementations, training and requisite support for the nonprofit software packages. She continues to work with nonprofit clients to support their fundraising efforts through sharing best practices and setting up client with Abila Fundraising Online, which she specializes in.
Jim Serafin’s company focuses on strategic marketing, business planning, grant writing, fundraising, and budgeting which has successfully raised millions of dollars to grow not for profit organizations. As a talented speaker he has presented at national conferences in the areas of product line development and program evaluation. Previously, he has served in executive positions for a regional food bank, the largest hospital in Colorado, a regional hospital in Texas, a community planning council, a united Way, a soup kitchen and shelter program, and an inner city Montessori School. Jim is particularly effective in dealing with difficult strategic, fundraising and marketing issues.
