Molly Ranahan

Molly is an urban planner and has conducted community-based research in Western New York for over five years. Before joining the team at CCNY, she was a research analyst for the Erie County Department of Senior Services and coordinated interdisciplinary research efforts at the Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access at the University at Buffalo. Molly has extensive professional experience in the areas of research design, mixed methods, program development and evaluation, and inclusive planning and community engagement. She also co-directs the Age Friendly Erie County initiative, a collaborative effort of local organizations, older adults, and young committed to creating an inclusive community in Western New York, and co-facilitates the Silver Pride Project, a peer group designed by LGBTQ seniors. Molly received her PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from the University at Buffalo. She also holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Masters of Urban Planning.
