CCNY has identified emerging unmet needs in the Erie County system of care. Guided by thirty years of research by John Kretzmann and John L. McKnight, we will seek out community assets in Erie County to provide neighborhood supports for families: individuals, groups, institutions, and economic resources. In phase one, we will target specific zip codes and census tracts where the gap between those in the system of care and number of assets is greatest. During phase two, we will move beyond the target areas to support the region.
If you would like to see a snapshot of the final project, we have an example map available here. It doesn’t have the functionality that the final version will provide such as: the ability to search for specific details regarding an asset; a function that allows you to center the map on a specific location; the ability to print asset details; and displaying the assets into seperate categories.
If you want to assist us by providing information on assets in your community, you can do so by entering them here. We will add the information to our database.
