Community Connections of New York (CCNY) was established in 2008 with the support and foresight of Commissioner Phil Endress from the Erie County Department of Mental Health. The system of care needed an organization to develop, institute and facilitate program improvement efforts for all participating agencies in the Erie County Family Voices Network as well as administer vendor services. In collaboration, Gateway-Longview and New Directions Youth and Family Services joined forces to launch CCNY, a new and innovative organization to improve and advance services for youth, families, and human service agencies in Western New York by providing program evaluation, quality management and improvement services to the system of care. CCNY assists Erie County in managing the quality of care for children and families in Western New York by incorporating the strengths of Gateway-Longview and New Directions Youth and Family Services: streamlining effective and high-quality care for children and families.
