Community Connections of New York (CCNY) is looking to share the stories of families in Erie County's System of Care. Inspired by the national StoryCorp project, we are hoping to create a library of stories about the experiences of Western New York families.
To participate, one must schedule a recording time with us, and share your story with us at the recording session. We will publish your recording on the web and via a podcast. We are looking to share numerous voices on this subject (families, youth, public service workers, social workers, policy makers, etc). If you wish to record your story without sharing your name, we can do that too. Some examples could include:
- a son asking a caregiver about their childhood,
- a father talking to his daughter about decisions she has made,
- an individual sharing their journey towards a healthier lifestyle,
- or a mentor asking a youth about their relationship.
