What is Information Technology ?

Information Technology (abrev: IT) is technology created to gather, store and process information in a manner that turns it into knowledge and enables its users to do more than what was possible without this method of information gathering.  Particularly, it makes available a great breadth of knowledge and allows for better informed decision making; adding value to direction.

What does CCNY do with Information Technology ?

In terms of technology, CCNY produces applications and solutions for data gathering, analytics, assessment, and information management.  We create solutions designed to make data gathering more flexible, efficient, intelligent and user friendly.

Our applications are designed with both client's and their customer's needs in mind.  Each addition to the capabilities of our clients is made to increase their decision-making ability while easing or entirely eliminating any prior demands of physical documentation and technological limits.

In terms of purpose and practice, these tools and applications are developed to support and enable Quality Improvement, Training, and Evaluation in context with and in congruence to the Practice to Outcomes model of service.

In the end we understand that the needs of our clients revolve around better supporting the needs of their own customers, and we work as such, to better serve our shared communities.

Here is a list of products we have created to assist Systems of Care:

Family First:

Family First is an application developed in conjunction with families, care coordinators, and mental health providers, in order to ease the burden of all parties involved and streamline the process of pairing mental health providers with their clients.
